HOW TO ORDER
Look through our albums and choose an existing design style or get inspiration for a new style.
Choose Fabrics and Colours
Check our Design Kit for fabrics and colours. At the end of this section is a guide to the different fabrics and trims and pictures of fabric types that go well together.
Choose Writing Styles
Choose writing styles (fonts) for your name and any other writing on your shorts. If you are unsure, you can leave this to us.
Design yourself or use our Designer Service
• If you select one of our existing designs, just tell us the name on the picture in our gallery and the colours and fabrics you want it made from.
• If you want something else and are sure of what you want, send us a description of the design in words or by drawing the design on one of our templates in the Design kit and emailing a digital photo or scan of the drawing (if possible, use coloured pens or pencils or write clearly what colours go where). You can also email a picture or link of a design you’ve seen.
• Good designing is really difficult, so unlike other boxing shops, at ringwear.co.uk we will do the work for you if you choose. We’ll just need some rough guidance, an idea of whether you want something simple or flashy and a few details (see below). We will also need a deposit, which comes off your final price. You will receive a computer sketch of your design (here’s an example):
Email Us Your Order Contact Us
• Email us your design ideas including colours, graphic ideas, fabric preferences, names and other writing (and their location on your garment).
• Include your fighting weight and height. Our size charts are included in our Design Kit so that you can state if you would like the shorts longer or shorter than our standard size.
• State your fight date or other deadline. Please try to give us a minimum of 4 weeks, although we can often do make your kit more quickly than this (depending our work-loads).
Price Guide
Prices will vary depending on design details. As a rough guide, most customers pay for shorts (trunks) between £150 - £200 plus postage, although some designs, such as the personalised image shorts are more than this.
Postage and Packing
We can ship to anywhere in the world. Postage price and time depends on method selected but usual courier takes approximately 4-7 days. Postage and packing varies from £15 (if we can bulk items together) to £25 for one pair of shorts (USD $23-38).
Fabric & Trim Guide
Satin - traditional boxing fabric that is hard-wearing and washable.
Sequins- bling style fabric that adds flashiness to your shorts. This fabric is delicate and needs to be handled with care. Should not be dry cleaned. Sequins are known to peel over time; this is unavoidable.
High quality sequins - individually stitched sequins that adds real glamour to your shorts. This fabric is pricey but fabulous. We use for detailing on our designs and for our top end Signature products.
Velvet - luxurious finish but can’t be washed; dry clean only. Limited colour choice.
Velour - similar to velvet but has some stretch (what Everlast and Juicy Couture tracksuits are made from). Can be washed and comes in many colours. An excellent choice.
High-shine (wet look) - comes in a reasonable range of colours and looks great teamed with satin graphics and trims. Can be hand washed.
Leatherette - made famous by Floyd Mayweather, leatherette gives a slick look and is heardwearing. Comes in a range of colours including snakeskin. Great Teamed with fur or satin and tassles. Can be handwashed.
Fur - good for panels on shorts and and lining for inside of hoods. Can be washed and comes in a selection of fun prints.
Mexican Trim - this is an intricate style trim which comes in a range of styles and widths, usually worn in gold or silver and goes well with any colour. Also Looks great along-side plain satin stripes
Tassles (fringe) - these come in a range of colours (not gold and silver). Can be short (3cm) or long and cut down to the desired length (usually about 7cm).
